Some 'simple' rounds and 'Target' scoring methods.

Shooting Archery ‘Rounds’.

Many club members shoot ‘rounds’. These are sequences of arrows shot with the purpose of scoring, shot at pre-determined distances, with a pre-determined numbers of arrows, until the ‘round’ has been completed. If a ‘round’ is being shot by a club member or members, it is only good manners if you have a target set out for yourself and others who may not be taking part in shooting a ‘round’ itself. Do not be tempted to ‘bob’ from target to target without checking that you will not be interrupting a recognised target ‘round’.

On the following page we have examples of some of the ‘shorter’ rounds (i.e. numbers of arrows shot).

Common Scoring methods

Below are shown the two most common Target Scoring systems for Outdoor Rounds. Indoors where the similarly coloured but smaller face sizes are used then the scoring system is the same as the Outdoor FITA system.
