Current news for the month.July 29th 2010 - Sharon has returned from a week-end in Scotland (Glasgow) with the news that she got her first FITA Star AND Thistle award last week-end with a 1,000+ plus score with recurve. Well done! July 26th 2010 - Richard asked if I can pose this question to you all? Just a quick note to ask if you could pop something on the club website about the current debate on club colors in a bid to get more people involved. Several committee members have said if we can put a well thought out and researched proposal on the table then it will be considered, and the idea is that we introduce a 'club' colour scheme (as other clubs have done) other than the traditional green and white. It isn't proposed to do away with green and white but allow an alternative choice. Black trousers and Orange top are the suggested option but by all means pass your views onto Richard and see what transpires? July 15th 2010 - After Tuesday evening turned into a wash-out and we all left the field is a little bit of a rush, I didn't have time to congratulate those who went to the 'Clout' in Cumbria last week-end (and got wet) Kath was second, Connor got a PB on top of the previous day's PB, Margaret (who's that baby) Fittes almost got the 'blue' tassel but did get the 'black' and I didn't hear how everyone else got on, so forgive me if I miss you out? For those going to the County Champs this week-end, good luck! I hope the weather stays fine, or gets fine! A new venue this year so I believe? Saturday will be the FITA bit and Sunday the GNAS (or must I write ArcheryGB?) See you all around later?
July 8th 2010 - Club Records until 30th June have been loaded thanks to Kath who sent them on to me yesterday. July 4th 2010 - Another windy Sunday and I was browsing around the web sites and noticed that Sam Hood won the trophy for 'FIRST' barebow at the Junior Nationals at Lilleshall yesterday (Saturday). I'm sure Eileen will be thrilled as I must admit I am also! So next time you see Sam give him a pat-on-the-back for his achievement, but not too hard as that will possibly be mis-interpreted as abuse! I have no idea how today will go so we'll just have to wait and see?
