September 28th 2011 - If you were interested in Green Lane's 18m FITA in October then it's best to learn that it will not go ahead. I checked with Graham and the next competition will be the 'Brays'. So if you want an indoor we appear to have the Spooky Shoot (if that is on.... haven't heard yet) then our own Open and then Green Lane Brays. Time to plan your autumn shoots. May dabble myself this year?
September 15th 2011 - Tony's Tittle-tattle from Kath! Updated records attached and dates as follows for web site: Percy Hedley starts Tuesday 20 September, 6.30pm - 9.30pm.... and then Churchill School starts Saturday 1 October, 10.00am - 1.00pm.... but also Coaching available Wallsend (Hadrian Leisure Centre) Wednesday 21st September, 6.30pm - 9.00pm. Once we've absorbed all that then: Beginners course starts Wednesday 28 September, but also, more coaching sessions on Wednesdays will be available after the 6 week beginners course is finished. Now I'll start formatting the Outdoor Records for the site. Once complete I'll flag the load by an entry on the home page. I'll see you all on Tuesday at Parcy Hedley so keep me a place!
September 14th 2011 - The club AGM went off yesterday evening and the 'new' committee is the same as the old. Not totally a surprise. I've changed only the dates for coverage on the 'committee' page. You should notice that on Tuesday's we now go indoors to Percy Hedley. Followed on Saturdays to Churchill on October 1st. I suspect that the weather and the new football season MAY inhibit the final two Saturday's we have remaining outdoors? The first 'winter' beginners course starts at Burnside on September 28th and I've entered all the prospective dates in the home page calendar. It was suggested that we introduce some method of integrating new members into the club. James will produce a booklet of common questions e.g. How do I enter a competition, where do I find score sheets when shooting rounds at club venues. Simple things we all take for granted! Finally I'll explain Richard's face book links. We have a small window on the home page so anyone looking at the site can also see the essence of the facebook page. The link to the full page only opens the contents of the small page but in a window of it's own. For those who do not subscribe to facebook it allows the best of both worlds. And with that I close! September 3rd 2011 - Blunder to report. I've had it down as the AGM will be held at the Pavillion but it will not! It's to be held at Percy Hedley school. Still at 7-30 start and well worth a visit! Don't forget that fees are due this month and preferably at the AGM (but not mandatory)!
