News Archive - October 2009.October 28th 2009 - Remember that this week-end is the date for our club 'open' at Churchill. Setting up for the Sunday competition will be after the Saturday 'club' day. And now... the latest PB's: October 19th 2009 - I've uncovered some photos I snapped during the 2009 FITA star. Makes the day look good! Can't tell that it was windy though! These have been loaded onto the 'gallery page under 'page 5'. October 12th 2009 - PB's for indoors to date are as follows: October 8th 2009 - We held a committee meeting on Monday 5th and the following are thing that may interest you? Firstly Len has taken on the Vice-Chairman position. Good for you Len! On 19th October the county is putting on a 'Field Captain's Course. It's not a difficult evening seminar and well worth taking as we all need the knowledge it passes on? See Kath for info: Then on the subject of beginner's courses. One course is to start on 14th october but we already have 17 waiting for the next course. Now this IS important. The 'Prize Night' is to be free to club members. The £3-50 buffet cost will be absorbed by the club but if you bring a family member then we need the £3-50 to cover the buffet cost from your guest. Also we need to know numbers so tickets will be available from either Kath or Edna.... but the ticket is just to keep a grasp of how many to expect. It's planned for 14th november (still). Dates for our indoor leagues have been agreed until Christmas time and will appear in the front page diary entries. For matches we have one team for each of the county leagues (3 compounds and 3 longbows make up those teams). For the British Archer leagues we have 2 teams for recurve and 1 for Compound (thats ten of us recurve bods and two compound bods). For the 'frostbite' we have one team of each. Apart from that news welcome to the indoor season. Oh! the club Indoor Open is pencilled in for November 1st. Set-up on the Saturday after we complete shooting. October 1st 2009 - I've made the corrections to the times for the indoors at Churchill School as I appear to have posted the wrong times. Dunno how, but it was probably written before the school confirmed the booking? Keep Saturday 14th November free for the autumn Club Prize night. All the summer awards and achievements will be presented. This time the evening will be at the KYP club Pavillion and, I believe, will start for 7-30. Watch the site for updated news as you know how I get things wrong! Finally just a reminder to check the 'old' news in the archive as you may miss something that just gets loaded close to the month end.
