June 22nd 2011 - Well! while you were all at the 'Pairs Night' I was struggling to find out what had happened to the web site. Unfortunately we had some code entered onto the site that caused many Anti Virus products to report errors. It didn't come from me and I removed it as soon as I could but I did detect that it was loaded early on Monday or Tuesday..... But now to business. We had a meeting on Monday and this is a quick review. 15 new bosses and stands have been bought and one put on the field as a trial. They should remove the worry of hitting the leg and as they are layered, may be easier on the hands when pulling arrows. To house these we will be looking into buying another container. Various entry forms have been received and will be available in the existing container (I also put copies of most on the county web site so you can also look there). We have, already, 20 names for the next beginners course and that should start in September. We are to purchase a new badge to replace the ones we had for the Killingworth Challenge but it will possibly take 6 to 8 weeks before delivery..... and now a few pleas for help! Newcastle Schools are holding a 'Schools Games' this coming week-end. Archery is to be held at Kenton School but, although Kath indicated that ten teams per session were all we could manage, we are now up to 40 teams on the first day alone. Far too many for two or three people to manage SO, if anyone can lend a hand over Saturday or Sunday (Saturday is the busiest) then please call Kath and offer help. Finally the club is to go for 'On Target' coverage from GNAS. Costs us nothing, in case you ask! Have a good week-end but remember Kath's plea! Oh and I hope no-one suffered unduly when the site got hacked?
June 8th 2011 - I've just heard from Charlie that the field will be unavailable both Saturday and Sunday to a pre-arranged booking that was never communicated to the club. Sorry for this as I expect it will be a glorious week-end now? Tuesday evening is the next 'official' club time.
