For the full presentation list for Summer 2011 (presented at Bates Cottage Cricket Club on 18-11-2011) please view the Word Doc: Summer Awards
For the purpose of club awards a 'novice' is defined as an archer in his/her first indoor/outdoor season.
From May 2008 the club have two 'presentation' evenings. One for the Indoor Season Achievements (held about May in the year) and one for the Outdoor Season Achievements (held about October). Bi-annually at the club 'Club Presentation Evening', the club awards certificates for achievements made and club records broken in the previous 'season' along with trophies and 'external' awards gained from other schemes.
The following awards are presented at one of the evenings:
For the Club Championships shooting the 'Western' round series:
Lady, Gent and Compound Champion, Junior Champion, 'Best Gold', 'Worst White', Ladies and Gents Handicap, and 'Novice' Lady and Gent 'champions'.

The Australe Trophy.

This belongs to GNAS and is awarded to the archer who has the greatest outdoor handicap improvement throughout the year and according to the GNAS rules of shooting. The winner must wear it at all times when shooting or forfeit 50p to the club funds each time it is not worn. The medal must NOT be cleaned.
JUNIOR HANDICAP IMPROVEMENT MEDAL.
Club medal awarded to the junior archer who has the greatest outdoor handicap improvement.
INDOOR HANDICAP IMPROVEMENT MEDAL.
Club medal awarded to the archer (senior or junior, Recurve or Compound) who improves the most during the Indoor season (October until March). The archer must start the indoor season with a handicap and shoot at least 12 rounds to qualify.
We also present a certificate to those who have improved previous club records. As we have separate 'novice' records this allows many more records to be competed for.
