Posted 24th March 2008 For those who, like me, didn't see the club newsletter until late, these are the bits! Once April is over we are 'outdoors' but as the football season is closing we may have an overlap with the games still to be played. We, as yet, have not had the confirmation that the pitches will be free by that time. A 'practice clout' is planned for March 30th at 10-30am and we welcome members from 'Green Lane' to this practice. For those interested, results from the County Champs, which we hosted recently, are now on the county web-site. Posted 14th March 2008 What an eventful month so far. We held the County Indoor Championships last week-end at Churchill School and managed to gain the County Recurve Team trophy, thanks to young Chris, (who lasted the day without serious injury!) and Ron, myself and Bill, who posted decent scores to cement the thing together. We had visitors from Sheffield who must have left before dawn to get up here, but were welcomed guests. All in all we have to thank any club member (and those who aren't club members) who gave help in any way. Vicky started to make a habit of 500+ scores and Mary put her bext ever portsmouth score of 544 in at the school on Tuesday. So what is the remainder of the month to bring. Just have to wait and see? |
